Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
While it is our aim for our business to generate profits, it is also our duty to hold our business accountable to
upholding Goodwill and social care (social responsibility) to the communities / country we operate / trade in, by
enforcing and ensuring our business conducts itself responsibly and ethically. We are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our supply chain operations. This includes reducing carbon emissions, conserving resources, and promoting sustainable practices throughout our network. We continuously seek opportunities to enhance the sustainability of our supply chain and minimize our ecological footprint.
1.1 XValue Supply Chain Management with its subsidiary company Raka Energy is committed to playing its part in sustaining the Environment by -Going Green
This is in line with the South African Governments aspirations and intentions under the Ministry of the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment in implementation /
enforcing a “system of economic activities related to the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services that result in improved human well-being over the long term, while not exposing future generations to
significant environmental risks or ecological scarcities”
XValue Supply Chain and Raka Energy resonates with this aspiration and are in support of the long-term goals of the Department as we consider
ourselves in alignment to the Department’s Green Economy which is:
The Green Economy refers to two inter-linked developmental outcomes for the South African economy:
Growing economic activity (which leads to investment, jobs and competitiveness) in the green industry sector
A shift in the economy as a whole towards cleaner industries and sectors for our communities. (Reference

1.2. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, we have purposed to help alleviate / reduce the unemployment rate in
our country by intentionally employing skilled and knowledgeable candidates to grow not only our business relevance
but our human capital. This is relevant and of necessity in empowering our communities and investing in our people.
With each candidate we employ, not only are we reducing the unemployment rate statistic or contributing to our
country’s labour or economy, the greatest impact for us, is in the knowledge that we have empowered a family and
through continued employment the candidates are able to sustain their families thereby improving their livelihoods
for the better as is our motto: “Together we make life better”
